Going abroad expands horizons

Study Abroad

From Greece to Guatemala, Israel to Italy, and China to Chile, there is no doubt that I have taken full advantage of all the international opportunities that Drexel has to offer. From the start of my freshman year, I knew I wanted to go abroad as much as possible, and people are now more shocked to see me on campus than they are to find me in some faraway place. Thanks to the endless study abroad and co-op opportunities Drexel has provided me, I have been able to do paid research in Crete for a summer, participate in community service projects in Latin America, work at the world’s fair in Milan, and study abroad in some of the most beautiful and culturally diverse places in the world.

The experiences that Drexel has offered to me have opened my eyes in so many different ways

My experiences abroad have enabled me to travel to 47 countries, hike volcanoes, meet the First Lady, climb to the top of Machu Picchu, and soar over Turkey in a hot air balloon, all while learning to become fluent in multiple languages, making international friends, and becoming much more globally aware. The experiences that Drexel has offered to me have opened my eyes in so many different ways, and they have enabled me to learn things that you can only get by going abroad and immersing yourself in a new culture. I look forward to seeing where my upcoming adventures lead me and can’t wait to see what’s in store for me next.
