I initially selected Drexel due to the Co-op system as well as its location within the heart of Philadelphia. While I wasn’t entirely sure what career path I wanted to pursue, I knew that I ultimately wanted to work in the sports industry, and that Drexel would provide me with the resources and opportunities to follow my aspirations. Drexel permitted me to enroll in both the Sport Management and Accounting programs, and although the course load was challenging, I thoroughly enjoyed the classes and professors.
My time at Drexel has prepared me for the next step of my professional development, and because of the opportunities and experiences Drexel provided, I know I will find success
Aside from my studies, I was a four-year student-athlete for Drexel, where I competed on the Swimming & Diving Team, specializing in the backstroke events. Being a member of the Swim Team was a fantastic experience, for I made great friends and lasting memories. Upon the exhaustion of my eligibility, I continued my involvement with athletics, obtaining a position within the Drexel Athletics Compliance Office, a position I still hold. In addition to Drexel Athletics, I was also privileged to work as a research assistant with the Department of Sport Management. My specific work focused on revenue distributions and Title IX compliance within collegiate athletic programs. I was fortunate enough to have my findings published and accepted for presentation.
In regard to my future plans after graduation, I have decided to pursue a law degree and will be enrolling in Harvard Law School this August. I plan to focus my studies in the areas of Sport & Entertainment Law and Taxation with the goal of working as a legal consultant within the sports industry. My time at Drexel has prepared me for the next step of my professional development, and because of the opportunities and experiences Drexel provided, I know I will find success.
